Nick Fitzsimmons


Nick’s early roots with Global Excel date back to 1996, when he joined the Third Party Liability department to investigate accidents and coordinate recoveries and cost averting to other payers. Nick successfully applied these skills, at the request of senior management, to create what is now known as the Managed Care department.

Thanks to his previous work experience in the insurance and credit industry and his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Finance, Nick is an invaluable asset. His ability to adapt to a changing healthcare system and his knowledge base of the inner workings of the healthcare system have made Global Excel an industry leader in cost containment. Currently, Nick spends the majority of his time overseeing our negotiation and audit efforts, analyzing our existing contracts and PPO networks, and blending these in the most effective manner to provide our clients with the best possible discounts and highest quality service.

David Rennie


A graduate of Montreal’s Concordia University, David came to Global Excel in 1996 with a wealth of experience from the insurance industry. He quickly moved into the role of VP Business Development, where he currently works with a variety of insurance carriers, MGUs, TPAs, reinsurance carriers, and underwriters, to whom Global Excel provides cost containment solutions.

Steve Zatylny


Steve joined Global Excel in 2004 as a negotiator in the Managed Care department. Within a year he was visiting clients as sales support, providing valuable insight on our negotiation tactics. In 2006, Steve joined the business development team, where his in-depth knowledge of our managed care strategies and his extraordinary communication skills continue to contribute to the strength of the team.

Johnathan Clarke


Johnathan obtained a law degree from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2000 and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2002. Given his strong interest in business, Johnathan joined Global Excel in 2003 where he worked in the Managed Care department as a negotiator and legal resource. In 2006, Johnathan left the Bar to focus full-time on new business opportunities as VP Business Development.

Benjamin Tabah


Benjamin Tabah graduated from Toronto’s York University in 2002. He worked in the film and television industry and also provided customer service coaching to major corporations before joining Global Excel in 2006. His knowledge of medical cost containment is constantly evolving, as is the US healthcare system itself. As Benjamin has experience with all client types, including carriers, consultants, TPAs and MGUs, he has a unique perspective of the challenges these payers face.

Jason Davis


Jason is a Research and Development Specialist for Global Excel. Known to his friends as JDAWG, Jason is highly active in Global Excel's market analysis, business development, and cost containment strategic initiatives. He is one of Global Excel's up-and-coming experts on industry trends and cost containment strategy; Jason has authored numerous articles on these topics, and he speaks at numerous conferences all over the world.

Kim Connor


A graduate of Toronto’s Ryerson University, Kim joined Global Excel in 1995 and was one of the original members of the Managed Care team. She first worked as a front-line negotiator for inpatient cases, and then served as the Coordinator of Hospital Networks developing Global Excel’s extensive provider network.

Kim played a key role in the creation of the Corporate Client Services department where she was the Director from 2003–2006. She also served as Director of the Managed Care department from 2005–2008. Kim is now the VP Managed Care Contracting where she is responsible for network performance analysis, network expansion and development, evaluating corporate client network needs and managing provider relationships.

Julie has been with Global Excel since 2000, and a team leader since 2008. Most of her career in the company has been within the Corporate Client Services department, providing account management services as well as leading various internal initiatives. Her capabilities in project and people management have led her to the US division to support Global Excel’s broadening client base.

Clinton Sevigny


Clinton joined the Global Excel team in 2005 as a Customer Service Representative and transitioned to account management in 2006. He services an ever-growing US client base, working closely with TPAs, MGUs and carriers to help maximize their savings while maintaining a high level of customer service. His understanding of the self-insured market and healthcare dynamics is an asset to the team. Clinton is a graduate of Bishop’s University with a degree in English Literature and Fine Arts.

Stephanie Loach


Stephanie has been with Global Excel since 2007, when she began working in an administrative department within the company. Looking for a more challenging role, she joined the US market team as a Customer Service Representative in 2008; she recently moved to an account management role. Given her experience in different areas of the company and her close work with the Managed Care negotiators, Stephanie has the knowledge and experience required to ensure that her clients' needs are met.

Stephanie Loach


Monica began her career with Global Excel in the call centre in 2007, where she was an important part of many process improvements.
